Johannisson comes from Donaueschingen in the beautiful Black Forest
in Germany. She along with her husband Jens have two sons named Florian
and Simon. Before becoming a mother
Alex was the Sales Manager for a local newspaper.
Alex began calling in 1998 as the Club Caller for the Alb-Dream-Dancers in Albstadt, Germany.
Currently she calls Basic through Plus for several clubs in the Black Forest Area.
Alex is active in caller education as mentor for young callers in her
local clubs and has held training seminars as a guest instructor at
Kenny Reese's Caller School in Bad Wörishofen in 2004 and 2005
For Alex Square Dancing is more than just a dance. It's a attitude to life!
At her class graduations she tells her students:
"Square Dance is a philosophy without rivalry which spans around the world. We all should show the world that there
IS a possibility to get together and have fun above all races, religions and view-of-life.
Alex loves researching new music and is active in the production of several songs with Gramophone Records.
In 2006 Alex joined the the Staff at Gramophone Productions and her first singing call "Sweet Dreams" was released.
